Cohen Morano has a lot of responsibilities for a 6 year old:
Playing, going to school, collecting bugs in jars, making sandcastles, learning how to ride a bike and tie his shoes... and collaborating with more popular artists than he can count. Literally.
It all started in 2003 when his dad, Aye Jay, self-published the original Gangsta Rap Coloring Book, which took him on a book signing adventure. For his trip, he packed up some of Cohen's watercolor paintings and along the way got his favorite artists who he met to add their own flavor to them. The outcome was better than he could have imagined and it sparked him to start reaching out to more folks to collaborate with Lil' Cohen.
Fast forward 4 years, with over 100 artists having worked on pieces, and an art show has been scheduled in Minneapolis at the First Amendment gallery which will showcase all of the works that the Cohens hold close to their hearts. What we're offering to you here is a sampling of some of those collaborative works. |
